Bear Creek Swim and Tennis Club (www.bcstc.org) in Lakewood, CO is currently seeking an Assistant Swim Team Coach for a seasonal summer position.

DUTIES:
• The Assistant Coach shall help supervise and manage the Bear Creek Swim Team swimmers during all scheduled practices, swim meets and extra activities. 
• Oversee seasonal progression of athletes, set goals with swimmers, monitor phases and development with individual swimmers
• Instruct swimmers on proper strokes, turns, starts and all other aspects of swimming as needed.
• These duties are to be performed in a manner that supports the coaching philosophy and direction of the team as established by the Head Coach and Swim Team Committee.
• Establish and maintain relationships and open communication with swimmers and parents. 

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Competitive Swimming Experience (required)
• A strong knowledge of stroke, starts, and turn fundamentals. 
• Swim Coaching Experience is a must....
• Ability to lead, inspire and instruct athletes in and out of the pool.

May 1st to May 25th limited preseason hours.
May 26th to approximately August 26th regular season (40 hours per week)

The Bear Creek Swim and Tennis Club Manager is responsible for the following duties. The facility manager will manage all aspects of the club. This includes directly overseeing the pool and tennis operations, concession stand, the physical plant, grounds and all club sponsored events. A key role for the club manager is to maintain a healthy and successful club environment.

Required CPO, CPR and first aid and lifeguard certification.

Must be able to lift 50lbs.

Camp Shane is searching for Waterfront Director

Employment Dates:  May 31st through August 17th

Essential Job Functions:
1. Plan, direct, and supervise a safe and fun waterfront program
2. Train and supervise waterfront staff
3. Manage the physical facilities and equipment in the waterfront program area
4. Participate as a member of the camp management team.

Camp Shane is a traditional run, coed weight loss summer camp located in the lower Catskill Mountains 
of New York, only 2 hours north from New York City. We have about 400 boys and girls ranging in age 
from 8 to 17. Most are upper middle class. Approximately 2/3 of the campers attend for the first time 
each summer.

Our lake front property is on Swinging Bridge Lake, which is about twenty minutes from camp. We own 
several vans, which we use to transport campers to and from the lake. It is a beautiful, nine mile long 
lake. We ski during the week and the lake is usually extremely quiet.   We own two Ski Nautique's and two Jet Ski's. We have excellent equipment for skiing, banana boating,  tubing, and knee boarding. 

We only bring one van at a time to the lake and will make two or three runs each day with different 
groups of campers.

Assistant Swim Coach: Eaton Red Waves Part Time (Eaton, Co)

POSITION:
Eaton Red Waves is a competitive swim club located in Northern, Colorado and operates with accordance and  guidelines of the USA Swimming. We are seeking a Part time qualified Assistant Coach. The hours will be will vary on weekdays from 4:45-830 M-F and attendance at required weekend meets. This position works with swimmers 6-18 years of age, levels ranging from first time competitive swimmers to elite athletes. This position will be a part of a coaching team and will report directly to the Head Coach.

BACKGROUND:
The Eaton Red Waves operate out of a 6 lane 25 yard pool at the Eaton High School. Eaton is located 25 miles west of Fort Collins, Colorado and 12 miles North of Greeley, Colorado. The Salida Cyclones located in Salida, Colorado is seeking qualified applicants for 3 coaching positions for the summer season. The positions offered will be employed from April – August and will work with swimmers in the age groups of 8 and under, 9-12 and 13 and older. The positions include head coach and assistant coaches.


The Cyclones operate out of a 6-lane 25-meter indoor hot springs pool at the Salida Aquatic Center in Salida. Salida is located in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, 57 miles west of Canon City, Colorado or 102 miles southwest of Colorado Springs, Colorado.

The Lamarlins swim team is a summer season, USA Swimming Club in the rural southeastern region of Colorado.  We are seeking a Head Swim Coach to start in the summer of 2013. 

The Lamarlins swim team is a parent run organization which is committed to providing a supportive and competitive swimming experience for swimmers of all ages and abilities.

Our team size is usually between 60-80 swimmers aged 4-18. We have a competitive morning team and a beginner noon group.

We are looking for a candidate who:

Highlands Ranch Aquatics, a year round USA Swimming Club in Highlands Ranch, Colorado seeks a Head Swim Coach to start in the Spring of 2013, following the Short Course Championship Season.

The Highlands Ranch Aquatics swim team (HRA) is a board directed, parent supported organization which is committed to providing an enjoyable, complete, and competitive swimming experience for swimmers of all appropriate ages and abilities. HRA is set up as Not-For-Profit 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.  It is the tradition of HRA to provide a challenging and positive teaching and training environment in which swimmers can develop a sense of self-esteem and pride through individual and team achievement. HRA is additionally committed to excellence in performance and we continue to strive to be the competitive leader in state, national, and international competitions.

Due to facility limitations, and an emphasis on development, team size is limited to approximately 80 swimmers aged 7-18. Despite the smaller program size, HRA has had an excellent record in state, regional and national competitions.  The program annually draws the top swim talent in the community and many have to be turned away each year due to the limitations we have on size. 

The ideal candidate will embrace the concept of community and building swimmers who will compete at a national level and international level.  This candidate will have demonstrated experience in a year round USA Swimming program and be able to coach as well as fulfill the many administrative roles required to operate a USA Swim Club.  Additionally, candidates will be judged on the following:

a.        Coaching and personal swimming history.

b.       A strong knowledge of stroke, start & turn fundamentals along with technique work.

c.        Proven administration and business skills.

d.       Excellent communication skills with swimmers of a wide range of ages, coaches, parents, the HRA Board of Directors, practice and meet facility employees and in the community at large.

e.        Ability to lead, inspire and mentor student-athletes.

HRA currently has 2 assistant age-group coaches and a dryland coach who works with the older more developed swimmers three times per week.  Compensation will be conservative and commensurate with that of a small USA Swim Club.  The Board of Directors will consider and explore opportunities for additional incentive based compensation on a season by season basis.  The Head Coach is expected to be at all meets and practices.  Standard travel expenses for meet travel will be covered by the club.

Genesee Mountain Thunder Swim Team
Job Description
Position   2013 Summer League Head Coach

Reports to:   Direct Report to Genesee Swim Team Board

GMT Background:   

The team consists of approximately 80 to 100 swimmers, varying from ages 5-18. Swimmer ability ranges from beginning swimmers to swimmers that compete at Summer State Championship meets.

The team practice daily at the Foothills neighborhood pool located in the beautiful Genesee, Colorado. Genesee is a mountain community in the foothills just west Golden off of the I-70 corridor.

The Genesee Mountain Thunder swim team is part of the Foothills Swim Association (FSA) and participate in organized summer swim meets with other FSA teams in Jefferson County from Memorial Day through the end of July.  

The team has been active with FSA swimming for over 30 years.  

The team is organized and supported by a year-round, volunteer, parent board.

Position Description   GMT is looking for an experienced summer league Head Coach to lead and manage our summer swim team.

Ideal candidates will possess a minimum of 3 years of coaching experience (USA Swimming, high school, or college); a passion for the sport, and the ability to help motivate our swimmers to achieve their desired goals.   

Candidate should demonstrate solid character, outstanding coaching/leadership skills and a proven track record for managing a team.  
  
Salary:   A bi-weekly base salary will be given and is based on candidates work experience. Coaches are paid a base salary for the Summer Season with a performance bonus payout ? up to 10%- at the end of the summer season.  Payment for Swim Clinic is additional.

Certifications and Qualifications   Coach must present evidence of having completed and passed the following courses:
CPR, First Aid, and Safety Training for Swim Coaches. In addition, Coaches will be asked to complete an on-line Concussion/Head Injury Training Class. Proficient in Meet and Team Manager software

Job Title:  Aquatics Director

Camp Description:

Woodridge Day Camp is a new day camp in southeast Denver, located at Thomas Jefferson High School, which will have its premiere season in the summer of 2013.  It is a traditional day camp where children aged 5 to 11 years old will participate in activities ranging from sports, art and crafts, music, drama, nature, science and many more.  In addition to these activities there will be a number of special events like theme days, carnival, Olympics, and others.  The camp will have a 4 week sessions running from July 8, 2013 to August.  Through the camp programming the camper will improve self-confidence, self-worth, confidence to try new things, fostering relationships with others, teamwork, and have a ton of fun doing it.  Please visit woodridgedaycamp.com for a complete description of the camp program.

Position Purpose:

To further the mission of the camp through the planning and delivery of activities at the camp’s swimming pool that are safe, fun, and appropriate to the camper’s age (5-11 years old) and abilities. Provide management to the physical operation of the swimming pool’s facilities and equipment.

Essential Job Functions:

1.    Plan, direct, and supervise a safe and fun swim instruction and free swim program

 Write lesson plans that meet camp goals.

­  Evaluate aquatics abilities of campers and staff.

Qualifications:  (Minimum qualifications and experience)

­ Previous experience in swim instruction for youth.

NOVICE/ASSISTANT SWIM COACH-COLORADO TORPEDOES SWIM TEAM

Job Description: Responsible for assisting with all of the functions of the swim team, public 

relations, and overall operation of the Colorado Torpedoes Swim Team. Position runs throughout the year. 

Work schedules will vary but mostly run Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 4pm-6:30pm, and several swim meets 

throughout the season. Assistant swim coach will report directly to the Head Swim coach. Duties 

include but are not limited to assisting in the development of seasonal goals, workouts, and helping

with set-up and clean-up of meets/practice.

Minimum Requirements: At least 17 years old, candidates must have: competitive swimming 

experience; strong communications and organizational skills; interest and ability to work with children 

and have the ability to work with swimmers of all levels. Candidates should have the following 

certificates by start of job or within 30 days after employment: Safety Training for Swim Coaches, Lifeguard training, CPR, and
